Job description

Urban and Regional Planning research and education are embedded within the Planning, Institutions and Transforming Spaces theme group. They are directed at understanding the spatial governance challenges of the contemporary metropolis, and at identifying ways of addressing these challenges. Within this broader field there is a lively area of specialization concerned with identifying ways of better integrating transportation and spatial planning and development. The focus is on exploring ways of achieving a transition to sustainable urban mobility, and includes subjects as accessibility planning and multi-modal development. The postdoc will help further expand and consolidate this area of specialization. Fostering communication between the disciplines of transportation planning and spatial planning and critical exchange between planning science and planning practice are viewed as crucial to the pursuit.
